After reading several reviews, and then finally trying one on in store before purchasing, I knew I needed to order a size smaller than I typically would. I've worn a black jacket with my work logo on it for several years and the long, cold, ND winters made me want something other than black for my daily wear jacket. We've recently had temps well below zero for days (-20 or more with wind chills even lower), and I need something that can hold up to these temps. This jacket does it! It's a bit stiff at first but I have no doubt it will soften up over time. The color is a great shade of red and it's very comfortable. In typical Carhartt fashion, I expect to last for years.

It looks nice, its obviously fake leather and like other reviews have mentioned it does have a platicy rubbery sort of smell. Do I think it'll keep that smell? Definitely not. Light weight feels pretty good arms are a little tight in some positions but it doesn't look bad or weird or anything just feels right around my arm muscles. Remember this is a cheap jacket. That being said it's a pretty well made cheap jacket. The zippers are a little harder to move than my last leather jacket but this was a third of the cost so there's that. Things I wondered when buying: inside "hidden" pocket yes, left side. However I find this to be laughable considering. The outside chest zipper is for looks no pocket there. All in all fits good looks great smell is tolerable, unless you're some super finicky extremely concerned person. Few loose strings here and there but honestly really enjoying this coat especially for the price, if taken care of will last probably at least five years if you're like me and it sees some real wear in tear once the new feeling wears off it'll last at the very least a year and a half and I'm talking like carting stones against it (work in the granite industry). The metal flare details are solid looking on the outside on the inside they have mediocre metal fastenings I still don't expect them to fall off or anything just could damage the coat itself or soft or fragile things in your pocket, again this isn't a negative thing just something to be aware of I'm very happy with the coat why not five stars? Well the false zipper pocket was a let down to be honest still wouldn't change a thing but I used to carry a small buckeye in that pocket in my old coat that my lady gave me when we first started dating feels empty now. If you're not concerned with that then this coat is great. Soft feel but still sturdy enough.

Comes crumpled up in a small sack but lightweight and generally waterproof. So far only "tested" it out twice while cycling and though waterproof and windproof it did feel rather warm. Doesn't feel as breathable is it should but this is my first waterproof jacket.
EDIT: Follow up: So I've had a chance to test this out properly in a full 30min, 6 mile commute under a constant shower. Sadly, it didn't prove to be as waterproof as advertised. Though I wouldn't say I was drenched underneath the Qikpac, my jacket underneath was slightly soaked on the surface (ruling out perspiration here). So its good for the odd short shower or light rain/activity combo but definitely not even a moderate duty waterproof.

Good fit and value for money.
